1st day
Meeting with a guide, check your individual and group gear, general instruction. Preparation for the training trip and packing the sleds. Overnight at the hotel.
2nt day
Training trip in the Longyearbyen surrounding. Overnight at the hotel.
Days 3-9
Ski trek to the North Pole, overnight sleeping in the expedition tents on the drifting ice. The start point will be decided in dependence on the ice and prevailing ice drift conditions. This tour contemplates not only dogsled driving but also a lot of skiing.
Day 10
On arrival at the top of the globe, we will celebrate it. Pick up by charter helicopter and fly back to Barneo Ice Camp. Coffee, tea, and snacks for free and strong drinks for sale will be available in Barneo mess room while waiting for the plane from Longyearbyen. Usually, depending on the weather, it takes a couple hours. Flight from Barneo to Longyearbyen on the AN-74 aircraft (approx. flight duration 2 h 30 min).Transfer to your hotel. Night at the hotel.
Day 11
Free time. You have a chance to take part in Svalbard adventure activities (not included, advance booking required). Independent transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Please note: all charter flights are heavily weather dependent!

Price includes:

  • • Transfers airport-hotel-airport before/after the charter flight;
  • • Flights Longyearbyen - Barneo - Longyearbyen;
  • • Helicopter flights Barneo - North Pole - Barneo;
  • • Stay at ice camp Barneo as described in the program;
  • • Catering at ice camp Barneo;
  • • Certificate of the North Pole achievement;
  • • Polar Guides' at Barneo;
  • • 15 kilos of luggage.

Price does not include:

  • • Any airfares to/from Longyearbyen (Spitsbergen);
  • • Accommodation in Longyearbyen;
  • • Catering in Longyearbyen;
  • • Transfers in Longyearbyen (excluding transfers mentioned in the program);
  • • Activities in Longyearbyen (dog-sledge rides, tours to the glacier, excursion to the coal mine: depending on the weather);
  • • Alcoholic beverages;
  • • Compulsory full medical evacuation insurance with minimum coverage for evacuation 100,000 Euro -required;
  • • Insurance against full or partial cancellation of the expedition, luggage insurance, life insurance (strongly recommended);
  • • All unforeseen costs related to the flight delays;
  • • Souvenirs and postal expenses.

You should bring your own:

  • • Winter coat and trousers with Thinsulate insulation: 1 set
  • • Thin underwear made of Polycolon (so-called thermal underwear): 1 set
  • • Fleece jacket and trousers made of Polartec 300 or Polartec 200
  • • Thick expedition socks: 2 pairs
  • • Sunglasses 100% UV & IR: 1
  • • Sun protection cream: SPF 40
  • • Hygienic lipstick: SPF 40
  • • Personal medical kit
  • • Expedition footwear: 1 pair
  • • Expedition mittens: 1 pair
  • • Woolen hat with Windstopper membrane: 1

ATTENTION:

We advise you optional basic polar expedition clothes kit, but everyone endures cold differently. Therefore, if you have some items in your wardrobe, which are tested in cold environment and suit you, you are welcome to bring them.
